Holistic Skin Rejuvenation & Preventative Facial Acupuncture in Boulder, Colorado

Facial Acupuncture in Boulder, Colorado.

Support collagen production, skin tone, circulation, and graceful aging naturally through cosmetic acupuncture, microneedling (collagen induction therapy), red light therapy, and East Asian medicine.

Facial acupuncture works best proactively rather than reactively.

The best candidates for cosmetic acupuncture are often women in their late 20s, 30s, and 40s (with relatively stable health) who want to support skin health, collagen production, circulation, and graceful aging before significant volume loss and deeper wrinkles develop. My practice focuses on boosting collagen and elastin as well as promoting healthy blood flow to the face. I also give my patients at-home practices as well as nutritional and lifestyle tools they can use to prevent signs of premature aging and to support collagen production, circulation, muscle tone, and skin resilience over time.

How it Works

Cosmetic Acupuncture involves the placing of very fine, single-use needles into areas on the face in order to stimulate our body’s natural collagen and elastin production.

In addition, acupuncture points on the body are also used to promote healthy blood and lymph circulation, boost recovery and repair, reduce stress and inflammation, and support your overall health. Each treatment is completely customized for you.

Rather than freezing movement or replacing volume, cosmetic acupuncture works by stimulating the body’s natural repair processes and supporting healthier skin function over time. It tones the facial muscles and promotes healthy blood flow.

Better flow= Better glow.

Cosmetic acupuncture supports healthy circulation, collagen production, skin tone, relieves jaw tension, enhances lymphatic flow, and supports overall skin vitality. Treatments may help improve puffiness, dullness, muscle tension, breakouts, fine lines, and facial tension patterns associated with stress and inflammation.

Skin health is deeply connected to our overall health.

Chronic stress, inflammation, poor sleep, hormone imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and nervous system dysregulation can all accelerate visible signs of aging. Rather than only focusing on the surface of the skin, cosmetic acupuncture takes a whole-body approach by supporting circulation, reducing inflammation, regulating the nervous system, and improving the internal environment that healthy skin depends on.

This is why many patients notice benefits beyond the skin itself- including improved sleep, reduced stress, better digestion, and a greater sense of overall wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Zero down- time! Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you might be a little red for 30 minutes or so after your treatment. It is also possible that bruising might occur. Avoid taking fish oils and blood thinners to decrease your risk of bruising.

  • This is very personalized. Patients using cosmetic acupuncture proactively and preventatively for skin health and to increase facial blood flow and release tension patterns before lines form usually come just 1-2/x month.

Depending on your goals and the overall health of your skin, you might need anywhere from 1-2 series. 1 full series is 12 sessions weekly. After you complete a full course of treatment, it’s recommended to come 1x a month to maintain your results.

  • Cosmetic acupuncture is not recommended or performed on patients with high blood pressure and migraines, or during pregnancy or when actively trying to conceive. This is because it helps promote blood flow to the face, and when we work with fertility patients we’re helping to increase blood flow to the uterus.

If you have high BP or migraines, we can use acupuncture and/or herbs to address this before starting any cosmetic protocol.
